Course Companion is a learning tool that supplements education with learning science in a way that’s convenient for users and the professionals who refer clients to our products.
Course Companion is a 12-week series of video-based check-ins that use spaced practice and retrieval protocols to support ongoing engagement and long-term retention.
How Does Course Companion Work?
After completing a course, the learner receives a weekly text message for 12 weeks. Each message includes a link to a brief, supportive video that revisits core concepts from the course.

- A short educational video
- Two reflection or recall questions
- Reinforcing feedback and encouragement

How Is Progress Tracked?
Course Companion participation and completion are visible in the referring professional’s ReCourse.life dashboard, allowing for simple progress monitoring without additional administrative work.

Course Companion is included at no additional cost with the purchase of any eligible ReCourse.life course.

How Do Learners Get Started?
Enrollment is simple. At the end of the course, learners can opt-in with a single click. Opt-in is required for SMS messaging. No additional setup is required.
Referring professionals can instruct clients to opt in at the end of the course, and may indicate this expectation using the digital referral form.
How Do I Use Course Companion as a Referring Professional?
If you already use ReCourse.life, simply instruct your client to opt in at course completion. Once the course is completed, you can monitor Course Companion activity directly from your dashboard.
